Helpdesk Associate (Tier 1)

 The Helpdesk Associate reports to the CEO and Founder. The Associate will assist in the research, maintenance, modification and upgrading of critical system hardware and software plus act as main contact for end user support under the CEO's direction. The Assistant must have a broad knowledge or desire to gain knowledge of computer hardware and software systems. They must be a self-driven, proactive, resourceful individual who thinks creatively with limited resources, while understanding the constraints of a non-profit organization. Having a willingness to be a team player, ability to engage all levels of users, provide outstanding technical support, offer up solutions, take responsibility and ownership their scope of work is vital. This position may be asked to assist with the organization's administrative duties.    

• Provide technical support for hardware and software related issues, providing general help desk support as needed. 
• Assist with upgrades and improvements to systems and processes. 
• Work with internal stake holders and outside third-party vendors. 
• Assist in maintaining, monitoring and proactively resolve network, system and security related issues. 
• Repair and recover from hardware and/or software failures. 
• Assist in managing, maintaining, and verifying local system and various vendors backup profiles. 
• Track projects and regularly communicate project status. Assign team members as needed.  
• Maintain documentation of all processes, equipment, inventory, licenses and related materials. 
• End-user support 
• Assist in administrative duties including researching new clients, scheduling meetings, and hour tracking. 
• Perform 24x7 support as needed 
• Assist in other IT related activities as directed.  
  • Windows Server 2008 – 20XX R2 (Hyper-V) 
  • Active Directory (Domains, Trusts, Users, Policies) 
  • Group Policy 
  • Print Services 
  • Windows 10/11 Pro 
  • Office 365 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Experience managing Windows Servers within an Active Directory environment. 
• Experience managing 0365  
• Experience supporting Windows desktop systems. 
• Working knowledge of Mac OSX.  
• Available to be on-call to work nights, weekends and holidays, if required. 
• Bachelor’s Degree, Certificates or equivalent work experience w/ 1 year experience 
• Travel up to 10-15% 
• Occasional nights and weekends 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift 50lbs. 

Annual salary $43,000-$55,000 based on experience; plus benefits. Our benefits package includes 401K profit share, paid time off and healthcare stipends.
